Birendra Kumar, an IIT Roorkee alumnus, qualified MPPSC Civil Services in 1989 and joined MP Finance Services. He prepared the budget of Madhya Pradesh for 10 consecutive years (2006-07 to 2016-17) and received the First Prize of Best Officer award from the Chief Minister of MP on December 24, 2014. He completed international training on Budgeting, Accounting and Financial Management from NIFM Faridabad and ICPE Ljubljana, Slovenia.
